Siemens Gamesa at WindEurope 2019
Bilbao from April 2-4, 2019
Thank you for visiting the WindEurope 2019 event in Bilbao. See you again next year in Hamburg, at the Global Wind Summit conference and exhibition, from September 22 - 25.
More about Global Wind SummitWindEurope 2019
Spain is a huge player in wind energy. As one of the biggest producers worldwide, the country has national plans to build more than 4 GW of onshore wind by 2020, and 2.5 GW a year up to 2030. The wind supply chain employs 22,000 people, and Bilbao is a key hub – and it's also the location of Siemens Gamesa headquarters! So it was the perfect place for the 2019 WindEurope Conference & Exhibition.
More than 8,000 wind industry insiders attended, which made this event a great networking opportunity. More than 500 presentations by top experts from around the globe allowed all attendees to expand their knowledge base.
What’s more, at WindEurope around 400 exhibitors articulated a vision for the future of this rapidly expanding sector. In Hall 1, on 200 square meters, our Siemens Gamesa experts presented our onshore and offshore portfolio as well as our broad range of services. Thank you very much for visiting us!
At Siemens Gamesa, we are determined to play a leading role in addressing our planet’s energy needs by providing people and communities worldwide with clean, affordable, and reliable renewable power. The energy challenge
Driving the transition
In order to encourage customers and society alike to join our vision, it is crucial to answer their call for a reliable, authentic, and bankable partner who understands individual needs and is able to think outside the box.
As a pioneer with nearly 40 years of industry experience, we can say with confidence that engineering and digitalization are embedded in our DNA. With an unrivaled expertise and track record in wind power, we do not only build cost-optimized, streamlined, and customized solutions, but are also regarded as a trusted partner in the industry.
Everything we do for our customers, we do with technological ingenuity and passion. As a consequence, we start where others stop – by taking wind energy to the next level and by always pushing for creative and innovative solutions on behalf of our clients.
We understand that the era of big data era is ushering in the Age of the Customer. At Siemens Gamesa we are committed to turning each bit of data collected into powerful insights for our customers. In our diagnostic centers, we gather data from around six million sensors embedded in wind power plants worldwide.
From this data, our diagnostic experts derive over 1.5 million individual digital models to detect around 250,000 deviations per year and identify potential faults. Algorithms filter out the costly false-positives and insignificant deviations. In turn, wind turbines need less maintenance and can generate higher yield, with a significant impact on the levelized cost of energy.
Thanks to continious monitoring, detailed analytics, and model-based trouble shooting advice, wind turbine owners get the best out of their assets. At Siemens Gamesa, we believe in the power of digitalization and its opportunities for a sustainable future.
