Driving the green energy transition in partnership

Only in partnership we can advance the energy transition. Establish a sustainable and secure energy supply together. Create lasting value with our customers and partners by using the most powerful technology for the expansion of renewable energies. Hand in hand, build up the supply of green hydrogen to reliably power our industry and society with energy from renewable sources.

At WindEnergy Hamburg, join Siemens Gamesa and its partners as we demonstrate how we are successfully driving this transformation together. See our flexible and powerful turbine platforms for onshore and offshore as well as service solutions that optimize the operation of turbines and fleets over their entire life cycle. In addition, learn about our solutions for the generation of green hydrogen, our development of floating wind turbines and our approaches for the complete material recycling of our turbines such as the RecyclableBlade.

Your onshore technology partner

Siemens Gamesa delivers an optimized and streamlined catalog, we offer the best product for each project and its varying site conditions.

Continuous innovation, a dedication to technological excellence and solutions adapted to each project are the pillars of the onshore product portfolio, setting the foundation for Siemens Gamesa as a benchmark technology leader. This is backed by validated and recognized products, as well as more than 40 years of experience and 124.5 GW installed across the globe. Our onshore product portfolio creates value with wind turbines that reduce the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE), ensuring long-term returns for customers.

The Siemens Gamesa 5.X Onshore platform combines technology with benchmark performance and proven reliability. With a flexible output of 5.6 to 6.6 MW, rotor diameters of 155 and 170 meters and a versatile logistics concept, the Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform provides the technological basis for profitable projects at various locations.

The SG 14-236 DD offers a high energy yield and unmatched reliability

With every new generation of our offshore direct drive turbine technology – which uses fewer moving parts than geared turbines – component improvements have enabled greater performance while maintaining reliability. We are able to reduce time to market of the SG 14-236 DD thanks to standardized processes and a fully developed supply chain. Enabling high volume production at low risk. Serial production is planned for 2024.

By increasing the rotor diameter to 236 meters the SG 14-236 DD delivers more than 30% AEP compared to the SG 11.0-200 DD.

Actions speak louder than words

Sustainability is at the very core of the wind industry. We are united in the conviction that a sustainable energy supply for our society and economy is not only possible, but essential. We all share the same goal of providing clean energy for future generations.

To move one step further we must address the question of how our manufacturing processes and products can meet the high standards we have set ourselves as a society. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and with the introduction of the industry's first RecyclableBlade, we have taken action to develop the materials that will enable the reuse of offshore rotor blades at the end of their life. The next step, as we help to strengthen circularity, is developing a fully recyclable turbine by 2040. Similarly, we are taking action to increase the transparency of our entire supply chain towards full sustainability and net zero by 2040.

Unlocking European Energy Security with clean, affordable and domestically produced green hydrogen

Only by using green hydrogen for the hard-to-electrify sectors of the economy will it be possible to reach the net zero goals by 2050. And while it is critical to combating climate change tomorrow, it’s also important for Europe’s mid- to long-term energy security. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has exposed Europe’s energy vulnerability and has reminded the world of the relevance of energy security for the wellbeing of a nation. Greater energy security therefore not only requires more renewable energy for the production of electricity but also for the supply of green hydrogen. We are the first to test direct production of green hydrogen with an electrolyzer powered by one of our turbines without connection to the grid and are developing the next generation of offshore wind turbines that will allow decentral production of green hydrogen in far-from-shore sites.
