The fight against climate change is not only in the hands of governments or institutions. We can all do our bit, as our lifestyle and consumption habits have a direct impact on energy expenditure and CO2 emissions.

For example, did you know that washing your clothes with cold or lukewarm water can save 150 kg of CO2 a year, or that if your tire pressure falls below 0.5 bars your car consumes 2.5% more fuel?

 

In short, you don't need to be Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish activist who has become a symbol of the youth movement in the fight against climate change, to react to the current threat to the environment.  

Greta has opted to travel by catamaran from the United States to attend the Climate Summit to avoid the high greenhouse gas emissions produced by flying.

But there's no question that putting into practice the 25 points above in our daily lives and choosing renewable energy sources are all options that are within everyone's reach if we want to mitigate the effects of climate change and achieve energy efficiency.
