Welcome to Siemens Gamesa

Siemens Gamesa welcomes Senvion employees who would join our team as a result of the agreement that has been recently announced. We know that you probably have a lot of questions about Siemens Gamesa and what it´s like to work here. Many of those we cannot answer until the transaction is finally closed and we begin the integration process. But in the meantime we have compiled some links to information about our company we think you might find interesting.

Dear all,

Siemens Gamesa was pleased this morning to announce that we have reached an agreement to acquire most of the European Onshore Service Business as well as the Onshore blade manufacturing plant in Vagos, Portugal. This is exciting for us at Siemens Gamesa and we are confident that the transaction can have long-term positive benefits for all parties. Together with you, we will be able to provide full service, including sales capabilities, strengthening our offering for our customers to best serve them.

I appreciate, however, that change brings uncertainty and some anxiety, and that you in particular have suffered in this regard in recent months. I’m grateful therefore for this opportunity to share some thoughts with you on what excites us about having reached this agreement.

The first is quite simple: we look forward to welcoming you in Siemens Gamesa. We recognize the skills and experience you have brought to and developed at Senvion, and we believe you will be able to make a positive contribution to Siemens Gamesa when you join us soon. Together we will be able grow in the competitive but exciting wind energy industry.

We view the Senvion business and people that will join us as highly complementary to our own. We anticipate that Senvion’s healthy European Service business will add new customers and opportunities in important markets for our combined business, helping us to diversify the current Service offering of Siemens Gamesa. The blade plant in Vagos will increase our make-versus-buy capacity and be important in helping us to mitigate and overcome the turbulence we experience in global markets as a result of the uncertain trade and tariff conditions.

We understand that you will have many questions and you deserve answers after the weeks and months of uncertainty. But there are still, amongst others, some regulatory approvals needed until we can complete the transaction. So please bear with us as we work full-steam to get everything in place. We will give you more information about what all this means for you over the coming weeks.

We have also put together a dedicated web page to give you a first overview of Siemens Gamesa and the people that you will soon be working alongside. Just click here to find some initial information which we hope will help answer some of your questions.

As indicated above, we still need to work through the necessary regulatory approvals to finalize the acquisition, and until then it is business as usual for all of us, meaning that Siemens Gamesa and Senvion will continue to operate completely independently on the market. But I can assure you will be very welcome at Siemens Gamesa and we’re looking forward to working with you as soon as the transaction has completed.

Kind regards,

Markus Tacke

CEO, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy
