With the Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) reshaping expectations, Siemens Gamesa’s performance reflects not only compliance but a proactive stance in shaping the wind sector’s role in a sustainable future.
“Being recognized once again as a leader under the IRBC confirms that we are not standing still. We are setting the pace,” says Maximilian Schnippering, Head of Sustainability at Siemens Gamesa. “It reflects how deeply our values are embedded not just in our product development, but in how we work with suppliers, customers and policymakers across the full value chain.”
From assessment to action: Global focus on selected material value chains
Recognition is only meaningful when it drives progress. Following last year’s baseline assessment, Siemens Gamesa developed a detailed 2025–2026 Due Diligence Action Plan, now submitted to the IRBC secretariat. The plan translates assessment insights into concrete, time-bound actions across transparency, supplier engagement, traceability, and worker rights.
