Low power density, maximum profitability

Boasting a 114-meter rotor, tower options from 68 to 153 meters and nominal power of 2.1 MW, the SG 2.1-114 is one of the product proposals from the Siemens Gamesa 2.X platform.

More than 59 GW installed in the 2.0-2.9 MW segment, with availability levels exceeding 98%, back the Siemens Gamesa 2.X platform, which stands out for its versatility and maximum performance at all locations and in all wind conditions.

Its range of rotors and tower heights (63-153 meters) combined with different environmental options creates an excellent proposal for harvesting maximum energy from the wind with the greatest efficiency.

Technological highlights
Our onshore approach is focused on geared technology, in which we have extensive knowledge and expertise. The hallmarks of Siemens Gamesa turbines are: reliability, robustness and a modular, flexible design for optimum adaptation and maximization of production at any site and in all wind conditions.
As an aerodynamic blade add-on, DinoTails® Next Generation reduces the sound power levels by using a serrated trailing edge mounted at the blade and adding finer combs in between the teeth. This world-leading noise reduction technology enables us to create value for our customers by maximizing AEP and reducing the LCoE in sites with noise constraints.
This turbine is equipped with blades made of fiberglass reinforced with epoxy or polyester resin. Together with the state-of-the-art aerodynamic profile, we can produce lighter blades having greater strength and improved dynamic behavior with less load transmitted to the rest of the components.
Turbine sensors continuously transmit data to our diagnostic centers, enabling the early detection of anomalies and preventing potential failures. By analyzing vibration patterns we can optimize your service plan and anticipate repairs before serious damage occurs.
The pioneering RecyclableBlade is an option based on our proven IntegralBlade® technology and manufacturing follows the exact same process with only a change of resin. The new resin is as strong and reliable as before, but with added recyclability benefits. After reaching end-of-life and decommissioning the blade materials can be separated and recycled in new applications.
GreenerTower is an option, which focuses on achieving significant CO2 equivalent reductions in the steel plate production for steel towers. For the GreenerTower, a maximum of 0.7 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions are permitted per ton of steel. This means a CO2 reduction on the tower steel plates of at least 63% compared to conventional steel production.
